Cost Estimator/Quantity Surveyor

What you’ll do:
- Analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
Minimum requirements
- 5-10 years’ experience with architecture and MEPF building systems in the US.
- Experience with interior construction primarily corporate office interiors in projects ranging from $1m to $20m.
- Quantity surveying/electronic takeoffs from BIM/Revit and 2D plans via Bluebeam,Planswift, Autodesk Takeoff
- Development of detailed scopes of work by CSI division
- Import and load quantities/SOW into estimating templates to create construction cost estimates by design and construction phase. (SD, DD, CD)
- Assist in development of formal RFPs based on estimators SOW and obtain contractor and vendor pricing
- Ability to estimate labor, materials, and time for each project
- Prepare and maintain RFI log
- Identify risks and potential long lead items
- Advise project management and design teams of costs to date at each project phase
- Monitor costs during construction compared final estimates in design and advise of discrepancies.
- Hands on experience with complex data research activities
- Develop, assist, and update office template, historical and forecasting data as needed.
- Primary software: Autodesk Revit, ACAD, AD build/plangrid, AD takeoffs, BIM 360, Bluebeam, MS Office
