Cost Estimator (Florida Experience Required)
Description
We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator with strong knowledge of the Florida construction market. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with Florida codes, regulations, and local market conditions.
You Will Get the Chance To
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects located in Florida.
- Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs using Florida-specific labor and material pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers during pre-construction and bidding phases.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Identify cost risks and propose value-engineering alternatives.
- Maintain updated cost databases, historical data, and Florida market trends.
- Ensure all estimates align with Florida building codes and regulatory requirements.
Minimum requirements
- Proven experience as a Cost Estimator on Florida-based construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Florida construction practices, codes, and permitting processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).
