Classical Architect

Description

We are seeking a classically trained Architect with strong AutoCAD and SketchUp skills to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience working on heritage, commercial, and residential projects, and is comfortable producing high-quality architectural documentation for projects in the United States.

This role requires a solid understanding of traditional/classical architecture, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate in English with US-based teams and consultants.

You Will Get the Chance To:

  • Work on high-end classically driven projects for the United States market
  • Develop 3D models during Schematic Design (SD) and Design Development (DD) phases using SketchUp
  • Produce SD sets of plans, including floor plans, sections, and elevations
  • Accurately pick up and implement redlines during the SD phase
  • Produce DD sets of plans, including floor plans, sections, and elevations, ensuring technical accuracy and design consistency
  • Prepare permit sets to be presented to local US authorities
  • Produce complete and coordinated Construction Documents (CDs) to be issued to the general contractor
  • Accurately pick up and resolve redlines during the CD phase
  • Ensure all drawings meet US documentation standards and classical architectural principles
  • Collaborate in English with US-based teams, consultants, and stakeholders

Minimum requirements

  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Strong classical architectural training (academic and/or professional)
  • Senior-level experience delivering projects through SD, DD, and CD phases
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Proven experience working on projects for the United States
  • Solid understanding of US permitting processes and construction documentation standards
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of architectural deliverables
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret and implement redlines
  • Fluent or advanced English (written and spoken)
